County Chair
Caucus Timeline
1.
There are some traditional tides to follow
in securing a convention site. Use a facility that will accommodate the entire
delegation plus 30%- 50% and have additional rooms/space for the convention
committees to meet. Also, it is very important that the site is handicap accessible.
Determining your county convention size
is a fairly-simple process. Choose a
Convention
size large enough to represent those attending in each precinct, but small
enough so that ~ suitable location can be found. Also, try to balance having
enough delegate slots to include everyone who would like to be involved and
not so many delegate slots that you will have trouble finding candidates to
fill them.
2.
All County Central Committee precinct vacancies
need to be filled. The earlier you begin to flit these vacancies, the more
prepared and well trained precinct leaders you will have for the caucuses.
Please send in a current central committee list upon receipt of this letter
and continue to send updates as you fill vacant positions on your central
committee and assign temporary precinct chairs.
3.
Please
submit the names of your county’s affirmative action committee members. The
responsibility of the affirmative action committee is to see that all groups
and/or individuals that have traditionally been underrepresented in our party
are contacted and invited to participate.
